Today I’m going to be talking about one of my all time favorite cleansers, the Low PH Good Morning Cleanser from the Korean brand COSRX.
I have been a lover of Korean skincare brands for the past few years as the science and ingredients they use in their formulations is often so much more advanced than a lot of Western skincare. I really enjoy researching and trying new products from Korea and this is one of my all time favorites that I have discovered.
I purchased this for £15 from Buttermilk Skincare which is an amazing UK based supplier of the best Korean skincare. I really recommend checking out their site as they have some fantastic products.
Before we talk about the cleanser my skin is oily with some areas of dehydration, it is also acne prone.
This cleanser was designed to use every morning to sweep away any dead skin or excess oils that build up over the night without stripping the skin or over cleansing it which can leave it tight, uncomfortable, vulnerable to breakout or at the risk of accelerated aging.
This cleanser is formulated with a slightly acidic PH which is so fantastic. The skin has a naturally acidic PH of 4.5 / 5.5 and a lot of cleansers are more alkaline which is a major problem as this weakens the skin’s acid mantle and its structure.
Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate, Polysorbate 20, Styrax Japonicus Branch/Fruit/Leaf Extract, Butylene Glycol, Saccharomyces Ferment, Cryptomeria Japonica Leaf Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Leaf Extract, Pinus Palustris Leaf Extract, Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Flower Extract, Pueraria Lobata Root Extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Allantoin, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Betaine Salicylate, Citric Acid, Ethyl Hexanediol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Sodium Benzoate, Disodium EDTA
The cleanser is a clear gel which foams just the right amount. It has a slightly herbal scent, a bit like a very light wash of tea tree but nothing overpowering.
I love using this cleanser so much. I have seen such a drastic difference in my skin in the months that I have been using it that I have started using it twice a day.
After cleansing my face feels clean and fresh but still hydrated. My complexion looks brighter, fresher and any breakout looks less inflamed. I can’t recommend this highly enough for anyone with an acnegenic or oily complexion.
- Cleanses thoroughly yet doesn’t make the skin feel tight.
- Mild scent.
- Works amazingly to reduce breakouts.
- Not overly expensive.
- Some may not like the slightly herbal scent.
